Project Information
For our Africa unit, students will be researching, designing, and writing their own travel blog about their "trip" to an African country, as a collaboration between LASSD and computer class. The requirements for the travel blogs are below.
Requirements
- Opening Page
- Short biography of your traveler, including name, age, and profession (job). You may embellish the details about “yourself.” Do not use your real name.
- Drawn and scanned picture of “yourself”
- A close-up, detailed map of your country including country name and capital city and the national flag (colored).
- Three Pages of Journal / Blog Entries: the 3 entries should cover all of the following areas of information:
_____ geography (size, population, capital, etc.)
_____ language(s)
_____ government
_____ currency (unit of money)
_____ climate, weather, plants, and animals (environment)
_____ food and drink
_____ crops and products/exports
_____ houses
_____ education
_____ clothing, art, music, and/or customs (multiple examples)
- All journal entries must be typed and free of spelling errors. You must also use complete sentences, capital letters, and proper grammar and punctuation.
- Each entry should include at least one picture or illustration.
